Obituary

MERIDEN - Lillian Maskrey, 88, formerly of 207 Main St., South Meriden, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at Windham Hospital in Willimantic. Born in Shelton, CT on Sept. 11, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Hannah Didsbury Maskrey. She was a high school graduate and until her retirement had been employed as a secretary at International Silver Company. She was an active member of South Meriden Trinity United Methodist Church, a choir member and longtime Sunday School teacher. Also, she was an avid pianist. She is survived by a niece, Carol Salonia and her husband Joseph and their children, Jessica, James, Alysia and Joseph Salonia, all of Ashford, CT; a niece, Ruth Hunter and her husband Allan and their daughter, Beth Hunter, all of Massachusetts. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph E. Maskrey and a sister, Margaret M. Stevens. The funeral will be held Thursday, July 22, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at South Meriden Trinity United Methodist Church, 145 Main St., South Meriden. Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
