Lillian 'Lydia' Schillat Trutnau transcended to the next plane on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 after a long fight with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Rudolph Trutnau and leaves her four children, Rudy and his wife Melinda, Joan and her husband Ward Bysegger, Roberta Trutnau and Bob Trutnau; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Lydia served on the boards of The Farnam Neighborhood House and Emanuel Lutheran Church for many years. She had a zest for life and the love of her family and friends. Her spirit will live on with everyone who knew her. Friends may visit with her family on Friday, November 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
