Meriden- Lois B. Dutton, 91 formerly of Curtis St., passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Meriden Center and Rehab. She was born September 14, 1918 in Meriden a daughter of the late Guy and Stella (Raven) Dutton. She was a lifelong Meriden resident, a 75 year member of Center Congregational Church where she had taught Sunday School. She was an inspector at New Departure/General Motors for 35 years retiring in 1973. Lois was an active participant in Relay for Life as a cancer survivor, enjoyed geneology, was a member of the CT. Society of Geneology, loved to sew and knit, enjoyed the Goodspeed Opera House as well as the Connecticut shore with her family. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Dutton of Wallingford, seven nieces, four nephews, several great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Virginia Bushnell and Alice Moran, a brother Dudley Dutton and two nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00am at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, the Rev. James Olson will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 to 11am prior to the service. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
