At the Masonic Home, Wallingford, June 20, 2006, Louise A. Ayers, 95. Wife of the late Raymond E. Ayers. Born in New Haven on August 11, 1910, daughter of the late Harry and Bessie Potter Andrews. Mother of Linda A. Ayres of Elkton, MD, Norman A. Ayers of Frankfurt, Germany and Royal B. Ayers of Hamden. Grandmother of Gregory F. Ayres, Jennifer (Ayers) Angeletti, Karen L. Ayres-Malinowski, Donald N. Ayers and the late David Ayers. Great-Grandmother of Autumn V. and Luke B. Malinowski. Mrs. Ayers was a clerk at the Edward Malley, Co. for 15 years, retiring in 1970. She was a former member of the Whitneyville United Church of Christ and a member of the Mt. Carmel Congregational Church where she was on the Board of Deaconesses, President of the Women's Association, President, then Secretary Treasurer of the Reliance Club, Treasurer of the Church Thrift Shop and was the former Corresponding Secretary for many years of the Hamden Historical Society. She also received a "Certification of Appreciation" from Day Spring Lodge # 30 A.F. & A.M. for assisting her late husband with his correspondence duties for the lodge. A Funeral Service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Thurs., June 22, 2006 at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
