Lucille Gentile, 96, wife of the late Angelo L. Gentile, MD, passed away February 8, 2026, peacefully in her residence. She was born in Auburn, MA May 24, 1929, a daughter of the late Philip Eldon and Lucille Leishman Brooks, and resided in North Haven for many years. Lucille graduated from the Hospital of St. Raphael Nursing School in 1969 and was a nurse in the cardiac unit. She later became a realtor and worked with the H. Pearce Co. for many years.

Mother of Lucia Macare, Laura Ibsen Kimberly, and the late Gabriel Macare. Grandmother of Alyssa Buontempo, Michael DeFabio, and Leslie Macare. Great-grandmother of Liana Buontempo, Jace Buontempo, Callie Mae DeFabio, and Corbin Michael DeFabio. Aunt of Leslie Route, Laurie Gray, and Leigh Anna Reichenbach. She was predeceased by her sister, Laura Brooks Wight, brother, William F. Brooks, and niece, Linda Wight Mazur.

Friends are invited to visit with her family at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home Friday morning, February 13th, from 10-11 a.m., followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. Interment in Centerville Cemetery.
