Luis M. Alonso, 89, of Meriden, passed away on January 21, 2012. Born in Havana, Cuba on January 14, 1923 to the late Angel and Angela Villa Alonso. Luis is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Elena Gonzalez Alonso; daughter, Maria Sullivan and her husband Paul of Wallingford; son, Angel Alonso of Boston, MA; three grandchildren, Robert, Alexander, and David; two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Eli and three sisters. Luis was a parishioner of St. Rose Parish. Friends are invited to celebrate with his family, a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rose Church on Tuesday, January 24th at 10:00 A.M.
