Cromwell - Marcella Harlan Boynton Melmer, 75 formerly of Timberhill Rd. passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Wethersfield Heathcare Center. She was born December 18, 1930 in Meriden a daughter of the late Paull and Helen (Harlan) Boynton. Marcella was the granddaughter of Arthur Boynton who owned and operated Bessie-Boynton's Men's Clothing Store on Colony St. in Meriden during the 1960's. Until her retirement she worked in the Tax Assistant's office in Cromwell Town Hall. Marcella is survived by a daughter, Cynthia J. Melmer of Vernon, a son, Paul E. Melmer of Vernon, two grandchildren, Thomas and Sarah Ellenberg of Vernon and one sister, Lila Bentley of Southbury, Ct. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home. 48 Cook Ave., Meriden with a service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
