Marcella Katherine Carroll, 89, of Meriden, wife of the late John F. Carroll, passed away on April 28, 2013. Born in Taunton, MA on January 24, 1924 to the late John and Marcella Crowley Lang. Marcella will be remembered by her daughters, Elizabeth Tyrrell (Herbert Greenbaker) of Northford & Gail (Peter) Novicelli of Meriden; sons, Stephen (Joan) Carroll of Cheshire, Peter (Janice) Carroll of Hamden, John (Colleen) Carroll of Brookfield, & Robert (Maureen) Carroll of Hamden; brother, John Lang of Virgina; sixteen grandchildren & six great-grandchildren. Marcella attended Simmons College, retired from SNET, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She and her husband raised their family in Hamden and resided in town for over 50 years. A Summer home in Falmouth, MA was a special place for family to visit and make wonderful memories. Marcella's family would like to thank the staff of Kensington Village for their care in time of need. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, on Wednesday, May 1st at 10:15 a.m. followed by her Mass of Christian Burial which will be Celebrated in St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be Private. Friends may visit with her family on Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, May 7th at 11 AM at The Village at Kensington Place, 511 Kensington Ave, Meriden.
