Marcus William Lowe, 35, of North Haven, passed away on July 18, 2023 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was born in New Haven on January 3, 1988, the son of John Louis Lowe, III and Hollis Schlacter Lowe. Besides his parents, Marcus leaves his sister Cameron Lowe Schimmel and her husband Ryan, and his stepmother Colleen M. Girard. He also leaves his Aunt Louise Fisher and her husband Rick, Aunts Nancy and Tracey Schlacter, Uncles Mark and Christopher Schlacter and Christopher's wife Diane. He was predeceased by his grandparents Elizabeth Gere Lowe, John Louis Lowe, Jr., Suzanne McCormick Savage and William John Schlacter, Jr.
Marcus graduated from North Haven High School in 2006, where he was co-captain of the basketball team. He went on to receive a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Vermont. After living in Vail, CO and San Diego, CA he returned to Connecticut where he was currently studying in the accelerated nursing program at UCONN.
A Memorial Service celebrating Marcus's life will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 12:00 noon at the Unitarian Society of New Haven, 700 Hartford Turnpike, Hamden, CT 06517. Interment will be privately held at the convenience of his family. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to any of the following organizations: New England Donor Services (
