Margaret Rosalie Allen, 85, of Hamden, wife of 70 years to the late LeRoy Allen, Jr., passed away November 30, 2020. Born in Baltimore, MD September 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Irene Johnson Luby. Loving mother of Bonnie Larson of West Haven. Beloved grandmother to five grandchildren, Kandice Allen, Sarrah Allen, Kris (Spencer) Ludington, Kenneth Cabral, and Herbert Larson; and 12 great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Sandra Norman Allen. She was predeceased by her son, LeRoy Allen III, and her grandson, Kristopher Allen. A resident of New Haven for most of her life, Margaret had worked as a waitress at the Italian Villa of Savin Rock, and also at the Center Spa for many years until her retirement.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a service celebrating Margaret's life on Friday, December 18th at 11 a.m. in BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Margaret and LeRoy will be interred together in Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors following the service.
