CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF A MASTERPIECE OF GOD'S LOVE 'For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.' -Ephesians 2:10, New Living Translation (NLT) On February 17, 1953, God custom designed a baby girl, named Margaret Ann Liddell, lovingly known as "Mickie," for Albert and Jane Liddell, of New Haven, Connecticut. Along with her sisters and brothers, Mickie developed as a beautiful, well-rounded, happy young girl, in the Ashmun Street community of New Haven. They were nurtured and taught of God's love, how to serve others and that education was paramount. Mickie's early education began at Winchester Elementary School located in the community, Troupe Middle School, and Wilbur Cross Senior High School, from where she graduated. Completing high school was not enough so, to sharpen her mind and skills, she entered and completed a two-year degree from OIC in New Haven. Upon receiving her degree, Mickie began to create her own hues, by working as an Administrative Assistant in the Human Resources Department at the New Haven Board of Education on January 31, 1974. For over forty-three years Mickie helped and served all who entered the HR Department. She was well-known in the school system as the most forthright and straightforward member in the department. Mickie married and was predeceased by Garry Adams, Sr. They were blessed with five precious children. She truly was a hard-working mother, who made sure her children received an education as she encouraged them to follow their dreams. Since she was a child, Mickie attended the Mount Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church with her mom and her siblings, where they learned about God's love for all mankind. On October 31, 2017, God, the greatest artist of all time, called His Masterpiece of love to rest. Predeceased by daughter Deidra White, sister, Vernita Heyward, brothers, Michael Ellis and Russell Ellis Jr., and two grandchildren, Daaron and Aleisha Moore. She leaves to continue her legacy of service, her children: Garry Adams, LaRoya White, Brandon White, LaNita White and Matt White; grandchildren: Dominican White, Anthony Austin, Aisaiah Austin, Jayme Santos and Alaija White, siblings: Alberta J. Long, Albert T. Liddell Jr., Robin Jones, Stacey Ellis, Jean Dear, and Marvin Ellis, and a host of relatives and friends. To Mickie, the children, your mother, your sisters, your aunts, your cousins and your co-workers "Thank You," for the indelible mark you've left in your life. We, collectively, will never forget you.
