Maria Mendez-Rivera, 86, of Meriden, loving wife of Ramon Rivera, passed away on November 7, 2022 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. She was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on July 9, 1936, a daughter of the late Pedro Mendez and Bernarda Rivera. Besides her husband Ramon, she is survived by her children; George Rosa, Hector Rosa, Angel M. Rosa, Carlos Rosa Sr. and his wife Zoraida Rosa, Jacqueline Rivera, Noemis Rivera, Edwin Rivera and his wife Chantelle Santiago-Rivera, Roberto Rivera and his wife Edith Perez-Rivera, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her sons, Raymond Rivera Jr. and Antonio Rivera.

A service celebrating Maria's life will be held on Saturday, November 12 ^th at 6:30 p.m. in Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Friends and family may visit from 4:00-6:30 p.m. before the service. Interment will be privately held at the convenience of her family.
