Marian L.
Coward Page
January 1, 1929 – July 6, 2021
Marian Lois Coward Page passed away peacefully at Connecticut Hospice on July 6, 2021. She was born on New Year's Day, January 1, 1929, in Buffalo, NY to Harry and Marian Coward.
Marian graduated from Buffalo Seminary and Endicott College. After college she spent time traveling in Europe and working in New York City. She met and fell in love with Peter Page of New Haven, CT. They wed in 1955. Marian and Peter established their home in Hamden, CT where they raised their family of five. They were actively involved in the community and their church. Marian was a member of the Junior League of New Haven, Spring Glen Congregational Church, Yale's "Around the World Wives," and The New Haven Lawn Club. Marian also enjoyed skiing, tennis, paddle tennis, the NH Symphony, and, of course, Yale hockey games. At age 55, Marian became a trained EMT and even enjoyed spelunking! Marian was ever curious and open to new challenges and experiences. Her youthful exuberance will long be remembered by all whose lives she has touched.
Marian's greatest joy was her family and friends. She and Peter had five children and sixteen grandchildren. Her world was full with children, their spouses, and her grandchildren, all who held a special place in her heart: Fred Page and wife Barbara (Immel) of Denver, NC, Catherine Teulings and husband David of Hamden, CT, Tracy Cole and husband Chris of Miami, FL, daughter-in-law, Suzy Crerar Page of North Haven, CT, and Susan Wildridge and husband George of Hamden, CT. Her fifteen surviving grandchildren include: Patrick Page, Kerry Page, Lynsey Teulings (Andrew Cox), Scott Teulings, John Teulings, Taylor Teulings, Kristen Cole Venter (Ben), Nicholas Cole, Peter Cole, Sydney Cole, Alexander Page, Laura Page, George Wildridge IV, William Wildridge IV, and Page Wildridge. Marian is predeceased by her husband Peter Page, son Douglas Page, and granddaughter Lisa Teulings.
Unfortunately, due to the current Covid-19 status, her memorial service on September 18th at Spring Glen Church, UCC will be privately held for family members only. However, the service will be live streamed at 1:00 p.m. via the church's website,

, where links to YouTube, Facebook Live, and Google Meet can be found beneath the orange banner on the homepage. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to The Spring Glen Church, 1825 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT 06517. Arrangements are in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
