In New Haven, August 25, 2007, Marian L. Smith, 79, of 67 East Messina Dr., East Haven. Wife of Russell M. Smith; mother of Donna Alger of East Haven and Robert W. Lane of Largo, FL, stepmother of Linn Bodle of Branford, Suzanne Smith of New Haven, Rusty Smith of Westley, RI and Randy Smith of New Haven. Also survived by 2 grandchildren, Walter and Paul Alger of East Haven and several step-grandchildren. Very dear friend of Ann Carasone and Eline VanValkenburg for 70 years. Daughter of the late George and Elsie Smith Sackett, she was born in New Haven, CT May 8, 1928. Mrs. Smith was a member of Eastern Star and Rebecca Lodge for over 50 years, Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 28 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.
