Marie G. DeVirgilio, age 78, of Orange, passed away on September 10, 2014. Born in New Haven on August 1, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Domenic & Lucy Parente Tammaro. She is survived by her husband, Angelo DeVirgilio; her son Michael DeVirgilio; sister Concetta Frank & her husband James all of Orange and several nieces & nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother Daniel E. Tammaro. Marie retired from Milford Hospital after 25 years of employment as a communications operator. She was a member of the American Legion Post # 127 in Orange and the Ladies Guild of Holy Infant Church. She was a very charitable and generous person, always giving what she could. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipes with her friends. Her funeral will leave from the BEECHER & BENNETT - TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven on Saturday at 9:15 AM, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Rd., Orange. Friends may also visit with her family at the funeral home on Friday (today) from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will take place in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
