In the Hospital of St. Raphael, July 17, 2002, Marion Rose Crane Lee, 88, of 30 Linden Ln., Madison formerly of Coram St., Hamden, wife of the late Joseph S. Lee. Mother of Joseph C. and his wife Mary Jo Lee of Hamden and John E. Lee of Madison, grandmother of Sr. Kathryn Lee, ASCJ of Hamden, Timothy J. Lee of Hamden, Elizabeth L. Jensen of Los Angeles, CA, Christopher J. Lee of Washington, D.C. and Carolyn M. Lee of Philadelphia, PA and great-grandmother of Katie and Michael Jensen of Los Angeles, CA. She was born in New Haven, Dec. 22, 1913 daughter of the late John J. & Mary E. McGuire Crane she graduated from Albertus Magnus College in 1934. She was a teacher at Sacred Heart Academy for 14 years retiring in 1978. She received the Albertus Alumni Assoc. Award in 1988, the Sacred Heart Academy - Hearts in the Community Award in 2000 and was a member of the Catholic Charity League and New Haven Council of Catholic Women. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Sat., July 20 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in St. Rita Church at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 4 - 8 p.m. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
