Marjorie S. McCarthy, 84, of 34 Ridgewood Road, died Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Arthur G. McCarthy. She was born in West Hartford on Oct. 25, 1918, the daughter of the late Arthur R. and Gertrude Gray Single. She is survived by a brother, A. David Single of Branford; four nieces and a nephew. A private graveside service will be held Friday in Walnut Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Perry L. Beaver will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
