Martha (Beebe) Elder of Hamden Hills Drive, Hamden and Mansfield Grove, East Haven, died peacefully on December 22, 2009 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a brief illness. Born on September 17, 1920, she was the widow of Robert W. Elder and the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna Wartman Beebe. Mrs. Elder is survived by children John, San Antonio, TX, Richard (Joann), North Haven, Barbara (Richard) Daly, Ball Ground, GA, and Robert, Jr. (Susan McDowell), Austin, TX. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden. Interment will follow in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
