Mary R. Crieger, age 88, of Hamden passed away at her home on November 5, 2022. Mary was the widow of Michael A. Crieger, Jr. Born in New Haven on November 17, 1933, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary C. (Alber) Hahn. Mary is survived by her daughter Debra Crieger, with whom she resided; her son Michael A. Crieger, III and his wife Stephanie of Cheshire; her granddaughter Mikayla Crieger of Cheshire; and her sister Monica Hahn of New Haven. Mary was a former secretary for the Knights of Columbus and the Travelers Insurance Company. She also was a volunteer at the Peabody Museum and the American Lung Association. Mary enjoyed cooking, baking and taking care of others. She made everything special and always put her family first.
Friends may visit with her family on Tuesday, November 15th at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with burial in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
