Mary Irene D'Alessio, 93, formerly of Wintergreen Ave, Hamden, passed away Nov. 16, 2009. Widow of Roland G. D'Alessio; mother of Linda D'Alessio and Beth and her late husband, Anthony DelGrego all of Hamden. Also survived by grandsons, David DelGrego of Hamden and Gary DelGrego and his wife Eileen of Houston, TX and a great-granddaughter, Megan Deanna DelGrego of Houston, TX. Mary was predeceased by brothers, David & James Quigley and a sister, Helen Quigley. She was born in New Haven, May 29, 1916 a daughter of the late Thomas & Rose Mitchell Quigley. She was a member of the New Haven Emblem Club, the N.A.L.C Women's Auxiliary & St. Peter's Holy Rosary Society. Mary & her family are much appreciative of the Clelian Adult Day Center for her time spent there & would like to give special thanks to Deb Calandro, Maureen Dean and Martha Huckabey for their many years of care and compassion. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Thursday, Nov. 19th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rita Church at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 8 - 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
