Mary Porto DiMartino, formerly of State St., Hamden, died Sunday at the Alzheimers Resource Center, Plantsville after a long illness. She was affectionately known to many as '' Aunt Mary '' and was the wife of the late Dominic DiMartino. She was born in New Haven, January 31, 1911. Mrs. DiMartino lived all her life in Hamden, working for many years at the East Rock Quality Market and the Soup Shopp Restaurant. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including, Rosemarie (Ria) Parisi, Doreen Mosko and Roberta (Bobbi) Rolando all of Hamden. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Porto and sisters, Ursula (Lena) Manfredi and Julia (Jill) Aurora. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Tuesday Oct. 29 at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen Church, Hamden at 10:00.
