In Orange, July 21, 2003, Mary Florence Hardt, 88, of Union Ave., West Haven, wife of Frederick T. Hardt, mother of Rev. Philip F. Hardt and his wife, Vineeta of Riverdale, NY, sister of Helen DiLeonardo of New Haven, Dorothy Coombs of Meriden and the late Angela Roberts, Joseph, Ben and Frank P. Tatta. She was born in Brockton, MA, Jan. 25, 1915 a daughter of the late Luigi and Rosa Carozza Tatta. She was a graduate of State Teachers College and taught in the West Haven School System for 20 years and retired in 1969. She was a 50 year member of the First United Methodist Church of West Haven.
