Mary O'Donnell Lyons 104, formerly of Woodbine St., Hamden, died at The Arden House, Harborside Healthcare, Hamden on May 29, 2001. She was the widow of David J. Lyons. Mrs. Lyons was born on Aug. 27, 1896, in New Haven, a daughter of the late Patrick T. and Esther D. O'Donnell. She lived in Hamden for the past 58 years. She was a former member of the Hamden Democratic Town Committee, the New Haven Council of Catholic Women and the Ladies Guild of St. Rita Church. Until her retirement in 1983 she was associated with the office of O'Donnell - Jacobs Physical Therapy in New Haven. Mrs. Lyons is survived by daughers, Mrs. Frank J. Shields (Marilyn) of Hamden, Mrs. Walter T. Stanford (Justine) of Webster, MA and Mrs. Alex Filipowich (Margaret) of Orange; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Thomas P., Edward D., John R., and William J. O'Donnell; sisters, Helen O'Donnell Hart, Margaret O'Donnell Kennedy and Esther O'Donnell Constantine and a granddaughter, Karen L. Filipowich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Sat., June 2, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rita Church. There are no calling hours. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
