Mary C. Payne, 90, of 119 Treadwell St. Hamden, passed away at her home on December 15, 2006 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of 64 years to her husband Gordon M. Payne. Born in New Haven on December 9, 1916 to the late William J. and Mary C. Murphy Carr. Besides her husband, Mary leaves her daughter, Susan E. Dumas and her husband, Gene of Thompson, four grandchildren, Bryan Boppert Adam Boppert, Emily Payne and Andrew Payne and her very dear friend and caregiver Gayle Bisson. She was predeceased by four brothers, William J. Carr, James F. Carr, and Timothy J. Carr. She will also be very much missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral service Thurs., Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Thurs. from 10 - 11 a.m. Interment in Grove Street Cemetery, New Haven.
