Soares; Mary (Papia) Santos In New Haven September 22,2001, Mary (Papia) Santos Soares, 77, devoted wife of the late Theophilus Soares, sister of Mary Santos of Waterbury, Anna Santos Stanley, Theresa Santos Myers both of New Haven and the late Rose Santos Duarte, Angelina Santos Mendes, Peter Santos of New Haven and Antonio Santos of Cape Verde Islands. She Leaves behind many nieces and nephews,a stepson Peter Soares of Stone Mountain, GA. and a host of friends. She was born in Ansonia, December 19,1923, daughter of the late Francisco and Maria Cruz Santos. Funeral service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR Funeral Home, 410 Campbell Ave., at Court St., West Haven, Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call Wed. morning form 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Park Cemetery, Bridgeport.
