Obituary

MERIDEN - Mary E. Wactowski Chall, 100, of 167 Centennial Ave., died Wednesday Nov. 10, 2004, at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Irving Chall. Born in Wallingford on Dec. 8, 1903, she was the daughter of the late John and Hannah Detz Wactowski. She was a member of New Life Church in South Meriden, and enjoyed all aspects of God's beauty. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara M. Chall of Meriden; two grandchildren, Sandra McCann and her husband Daniel of Enfield and Deborah Chall of Enfield; and five great-grandchildren, Jennifer Wilcox and her husband Steven of Enfield, Kelly McCann of West Hollywood, CA, Rebecca Schnaars of Enfield, Derek Schnaars of Enfield and Phillip Schnaars of Jacksonville, FL. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Chall; four sisters, Katherine Bruzie, Sophie Wactowski, Josephine Wactowski and Helen Wactowski and two brothers, Bernard Wactowski and Joseph Wactowski. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staffs at the St. Elizabeth Center at Curtis Home and at MidState Medical Center for their kindness and support. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Life Church, 95 Main Street, South Meriden. The Rev. Will Marotti will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at New Life Church in South Meriden. If desired, contributions in Mrs. Chall's memory may be made to New Life Church.
