Bethany-Mathew Dwight Taylor, Jr., 61, husband of the late Charlotte Heyward Taylor of Bethany passed away June 24, 2005 in St. Raphael Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in New Haven, Feb. 4, 1944 a son of Rosa P. Taylor of New Haven and the late Matthew D. Taylor, Sr. Mr. Taylor was proprietor of the parking lot at 60 Wall St. New Haven for many years. He is survived by a daughter, Tracey A. Taylor of Waterbury, a son, Damon D. Taylor of Key West, FL, and 4 grandchildren, Guy & Brittany Gilmore, Andre & Damon Taylor. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Elizabeth Surface. He was predeceased by a sister, Laura S. Taylor. Funeral service Friday, July 1 at 10 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Burial in Milford Cemetery.
