Michael W. Dawkins, 69, of Meriden, the loving husband of Sindey (Parker) Dawkins, passed away on November 21, 2023, at Midstate Medical Center. He was born in New York, New York on November 1, 1954, a son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Johnson) Dawkins. Besides his wife Sindey, Michael is survived by his children, Veronica Hamilton and her husband Kalik, Karen Ross and her husband Christopher, Joseph Dawkins, and Larry Parker and his wife Christina; his brothers, Steve Dawkins and his wife Ruth, James Dawkins and his wife Shelley, and Ralph Dawkins and his wife Julieta; and grandchildren, Taylor, Tanya, Tamia, Christopher Ross, and Kody Hamilton; a great-grandson, Ebrahim Jobe, nephews, Steve, Andrew, Daryl and his wife Danielle, and Shaun; niece, Stephanie Dawkins, and three great-nephews, Dante, Damien and Dominic Dawkins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving granddaughter, Tiara Ross.

Michael loved reading, music, traveling, photography, technology, gadgets, and video games, movies, taking walks and bike riding. But most of all, he was truly devoted to his family. Michael had a lengthy career in computer technology and most recently retired as an IT Program Manager.

A private memorial service for close friends and family will be held on December 11, 2023. Please contact the family for details.
