Mildred M. Festa, age 97, of Hamden, passed away on December 23, 2014. Mildred was the widow of Salvatore Anthony Festa. Born in New Haven on October 12, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Simon & Augusta Russof Rozokot. Mildred was proud to be a US Army Veteran of WWII. A family woman at heart, she was a devoted member of Grace & St. Peter's Church and a volunteer for many years at the American Red Cross. A resident of Hamden most of her life, she was a former Administrative Assistant for many years for a phone book delivery company. Mildred is survived by her son Peter Festa of Hamden. She was also predeceased by her son Paul Festa; her sister Eda Willis and her brothers William & Albert Rozokot. Friends may visit with her family at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Sunday, Dec. 28th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and may attend her Service on Monday Dec. 29th at 11:00 AM in Grace & St. Peter's Church, 2925 Dixwell Ave, Hamden.
