In Hamden, June 21, 2003, Mildred Crawshaw Higgins of 230 Treadwell St., Hamden. Wife of the late Thomas William Higgins, grandmother of Melanie Sadonis of North Haven, sister of Mary Brushett and Ruth Colwell both of Hamden. Predeceased by a daughter Mary Jane Higgins and a grandson, Christopher Sadonis. Mrs Higgins was born in West Haven, Sept.17, 1921, daughter of the late Clifford and Jane Vandermoren Crawshaw. She was a secretary in the Detective Division of the Hamden Police Dept. prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Whitneyville Congregational Church and the Hamden Republican Club. Funeral service Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Burial in Whitneyville Cemetery.
