Meriden - Mildred K. Smith, 96 wife of the late Edgar Graham Smith passed away on Saturday, June 30 at Hartford Hospital. She was born July 1, 1910 in Meriden a daughter of the late Frank J. and Minnie (Nubaum) Klett. Mildred attended Laurel Business School and was a secretary for Dr. H. DeForrest Lockwood. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the American Baptist Womens Club. She is survived by eight cousins, Catherine Johnson, Peter and Debbie Johnson both of Penn., Mark Johnson of Maine, Janet and Gary Chodkowski of Wallingford, David and Judy Arnold of Suffield, Beth and Lindsay Oliver of Enfield, Bob and Patty Frank of Meriden and Judith and Charles Danzol was well as extended cousins and family. She was predeceased by a sister Laura Levy. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 5 at 11:00am at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10am to 11am prior to the service.
