Mildred J. Specht, 92, of Ashlar Village, Wallingford, formerly of Woodbridge, died at the Masonic Healthcare Center on Friday, August 3, 2012. Born in Boston, MA on December 23, 1919 to the late Oscar and Ellen Elfstrom Johnson. She was the wife of the late Henry E. M. Specht. She leaves behind cousins, Dale Johnson of Warwick, RI and Dianne Baxter of Keene, NH and many friends. Mildred graduated from Johnson & Wales Business School prior to her retirement in 1987 after 21 years at Southern Connecticut State University as a business Services Officer. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wallingford and a former member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Orange where she was a member of the Altar Guild and a Past President of its Episcopal Church Women. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 11th at 10:30 a.m. at the Knapp Auditorium at Ashlar Village in Wallingford followed by refreshments before a Graveside Service at 1:30 p.m. in East Side Cemetery, Woodbridge.
