MERIDEN - Milton Albert Brizzie, 85, of 93 Hall Ave., died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Meriden Nursing and Rehab Center. He was the husband for 50 years of the late Dorothy Saunders Brizzie. Born in Meriden on Feb. 25, 1919, he was the son of the late Harvey G. and Lela Brusie Brizzie. He was a high school graduate and during World War II served with the U.S. Navy Seabees in the Fiji Islands and Bougainville. He was the owner of Brizzie's Texaco Gas Station and later worked as Parts Manager at Alderman Motors. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Spencer Pettison of Meriden; a grandson, Christopher Pettison of Meriden; a dear friend and companion for many years, Frances Wieloch; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Brizzie and a sister, Edith Jenkins. Funeral service Monday, June 28, at 10 a.m. at the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Alden Barnes will officiate. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m at the funeral home.
