Morgan M. Barrett, Jr, age 86, of Hamden passed away on July 12, 2015. Born in New Haven on June 2, 1929, he was a son of the late Morgan M. Barrett, Sr & Nora Garvey Barrett. Morgan was a US Navy Veteran and retired machinist for Simkins Industries. He is survived by his brother Maurice Barrett of Hamden. He was predeceased by sisters, Rita Barrett, Cecilia Barrett & Mary O'Connor and his brother John Barrett. Friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday in St. Rita Church, 1640 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the State of Connecticut Veteran Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown. Arrangements are in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
