MURIEL M. MARTENS Muriel M. Martens, 86, of 1 Windsor Rd. North Haven, died Nov. 10, 2001 in the Hospital of St. Raphael. She was born in Fulton, NY and a resident of North Haven for the past 43 years. Mrs. Martens was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, the New Haven Country Club, Madison Beach Club and she served for many years on the Hospital of St. Raphael Auxilliary Board, the St. Raphael Oakdale Benefit and she volunteered in the hospital thrift shop. She is survived by a daughter and her husband; Nancy Martens Van Sciver and Rod Van Sciver of Rye Beach, NH, a son and his wife; Harry C. Martens and Margaret Martens of Morresville, NC, a sister; Julie M. Garrity of Orange. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Jed Martens Van Sciver, Lisa Kathryne Van Sciver, Keith Martens, Christopher Martens and Katherine Martens Schultz, Lynden Martens and Alexandra Martens, and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Charles Milvo and John Milvo. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church on Tuesday November 20 at 10:30 am followed by a reception at the New Haven Country Club.
