Murray A. Heine, age 89, of Hamden, passed away on August 6, 2013. Murray was predeceased by his wife Janet Conroy Heine. Born in Baltimore, MD on July 12, 1924, he was the son of the late Anthony B. & Helen Murray Heine. Murray is survived by his daughters, Christine Radawiec & her husband Myron of Hamden and Melissa Olivares & her husband Carlos of Little Falls, NJ; sons, Paul Heine & his wife Catherine of Sammamish, WA and John Heine & his wife Deborah Caplan of Northford; grandchildren, Melanie & Michael Radawiec, Peter, Carolyn, Anne & Deanna Heine, Jason & Janet Croog and Jamie Olivares and his compassionate caregiver for the past 2 years Prince Amankwah. He was predeceased by his sister Anne Wilhelm. Murray was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and a WWII Navy Veteran; he was a Chemical Engineer for the Olin Corporation, while there he was the holder of several patents. Murray was a member of the Cub Scouts of America and the Boy Scouts of America being the recipient of the James E. West Award, Arrow Head Honor and the Order of the Silver Beaver. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Saturday at 9:15 AM followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Rita Church. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will take place in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
