In the Hospital of St. Raphael, Aug. 16, 2004, Nancy C. Merenda, 85, wife of Joseph J. Merenda of 125 Putnam Ave., Hamden, sister of Josephine A. Baroncini of Hamden and the late Dominic D'Ascoli, Antoinette D. Candido, Joseph P. D'Ascoli and Jennie D'Ascoli. She was born in Port Chester, NY, Dec. 5, 1918 a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Pasqualina Perrotta D'Ascoli. Years ago she had worked in the Hamden office of Nationwide Insurance, she also was a TV Hostess at Yale New Haven Hospital and most recently was a volunteer receptionist at Davenport Residence. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Friday, Aug. 20, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 a.m. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Hamden.
