Mrs. Nancy Joan Novaro passed away peacefully in her North Haven home on April 20, 2021 at the age of 100. Nancy was born Nunzia Marchione in Bristol on November 1, 1920 to the late Pietro and Angelina Arre Marchione. Nancy was predeceased by her seven siblings, Julia Petrucci, Minnie Carey, Lena, Mary, Matthew, Frank, and Joseph Marchione.
Nancy married James P. Novaro on August 14, 1943 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Hamden. Nancy and Jimmy cherished their life together until his passing in 1966. Nancy was employed by Camco in Hamden. She enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Farms Country Club. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends. Nancy was an excellent cook and baker, and one of the highlights of the holiday season was getting a plate of her amazing Christmas cookies. Nancy will be remembered for her calm, caring disposition and her warm smile.
Funeral service will be private. Arrangements are in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
