MERIDEN-Olive Thelma Hanson, 85, of 10 Billard St., died Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Harold Bertil Hanson. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on Dec. 3, 1915, the daughter of the late Floyd Cecil and Jenny VanDeusen Lamb and had been employed as an assistant buyer of children's books at the Yale Co-Op in New Haven. She was a member of Meriden Grange #29 and Golden Rod Chapter 34, Order of Eastern Star in West Haven. She is survived by a son and his wife, Arthur and Un Chung Hanson of Meriden; a granddaughter, Kristina Hanson of Meriden; and a sister, Geraldine Purdun of Ohio. Funeral service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, CT. The Rev. Kimball Cartwright will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in West Haven. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday (TODAY) from 6 to 8 p.m.
