Obituary

Orlando B. Chardon, 78, of Orange St., New Haven passed away April 15, 2010 after a long illness. He was born in NYC., November 13, 1931 a son of the late Angel and Rafaela Cruz Chardon and had resided in Puerto Rico and New York, before moving to New Haven. Orlando proudley served in the U.S. Air Force, durning the Korean conflict. He is survived by his brother and his wife, Carlos and Patricia Chardon of Missouri and Puerto Rico, his god child, April Teixeira Geyer and several nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Mercedes Chardon and a brother, Dimas Chardon. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Martin DePorres Church, corner of Winchester and Dixwell Ave., New Haven, Tuesday morning, April 20 at 10 a.m. Interment with Military Honors, will be in St Lawrence Cemetery, Thursday April 22 at 9:00 a.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Lung Assoc., of CT., 45 Ash St., East Hartford , CT. 06108-3272. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.
