Patricia Ann Hinchliff, age 74, of Hamden passed away January 1, 2025. Patti is survived by her husband of 54 years, Peter Hinchliff; her beloved daughters Allison (Gabe) Rosenberg and Stephanie (Michael) Barrett; her sisters Valerie Lekas, Peggy Schoen and Eileen Loewenbaum and her grandchildren Lily, William, Thomas, Mitchell, Cole and Peter. Patti was predeceased by her parents Val and Lillian Lekas and her son Scott Hinchliff. Born in New Haven on July 29, 1950, Patti was raised in Hamden where she was an elementary school teacher for the Town of Hamden for 38 years. Patti spent the majority of her career at West Woods School, teaching grades 1-6. She was an avid crocheter, enjoyed playing cards and drinking tea with her sisters, and loved her dog, Maggie. Patti found her greatest joy in raising her children and later in watching her grandchildren grow.

Funeral from Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Tuesday Jan. 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the VI Parish / Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden. Friends may also visit with her family on Monday Jan. 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden.
