Peter George Hinchliff, 74, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025 at CT Hospice. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Lekas Hinchliff, whom he was married to for 55 years. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his daughters and sons-in-law, Allison & Gabe Rosenberg and Stephanie & Michael Barrett; his siblings, Susan Zelanakas and Michael Hinchliff; his grandchildren, Lily, William, Thomas, Mitchell, Cole, and Peter. He was predeceased by his parents, George Joseph Hinchliff and Ruth Hamond Hinchliff; his son, Scott Hinchliff.

Peter was born in New Haven on July 11, 1950. He grew up in Hamden where he met Patti in 1969. He was an operations manager for Sears for 39 years. In his retirement, he worked at Centerville Lumber and was a member of the Hamden Fish and Game club. He would travel to South Street in Vermont where he enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends. He loved his family and enjoyed watching his grandkids' activities.

Friends are invited to visit with Peter's family on Monday, March 24th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden . A Funeral Service celebrating his life will continue in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. followed by his burial in Centerville Cemetery.
