Peter Ellsworth Phelps died on May 6, 2011 after an extended illness. Born on October 25, 1956, in New Haven, CT, he was predeceased by his parents, Wallace and Ann Phelps. Peter leaves behind three siblings, John, Carol and David, and his two loving children, Jody and Wally of West Hartford, CT whom he was totally devoted. Peter worked in the culinary industry as both a chef and an educator. He enjoyed spending time with his children, playing golf and watching the Yankees. A private family service was held in New Hampshire. A public service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Helena Church, 30 Echo Lane, West Hartford, CT with a reception to follow. Memorial donations can be made 'In memory of Peter Phelps' to Sovereign Bank, 342 N. Main St., West Hartford, CT for his children, Jody and Wally.
