Obituary

Philip Howard Hall MERIDEN - Philip Howard Hall, 84, of 195 Lydale Place, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, in Sarasota, FL. He was the husband of the late Shirley Kinney Hall. Born in Meriden on Dec. 11, 1917, he was the son of the late Howard B. and Gertrude Wetmore Hall. He was a graduate of Choate School in Wallingford and Dartmouth College, Class of 1940 and served with the US Army during WW II. He was the President and Treasurer of the Russell Hall Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Rotary Club and the Dartmouth Club. He is survived ty two nieces, Faith Barrington of Stamford, CT and Cynthia Stromberg of South Harpswell, ME, a nephew and his wife, Gerald and Alda Barrington of Darien, CT and a grandniece, Brook Barrington of Darien. He was predeceased by a sister, Lois Hall Barrington. The funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Robert Prescott-Ezickson will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Hall's memory may be made to the First Baptist Church, 460 Broad St., Meriden, CT 06450 or to the Meriden Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 773, Meriden, CT 06450 or to a charity of one's choice.
