At her home, Jan. 9, 2006, Phyllis Joanne Dorman, 73, died peacefully surrounded by her family, wife of 54 years of Leonard E. Dorman of 46 W. Shepard Ave., Hamden. Mother of Sharon (David) Ormstedt of Bloomington, IN, Wendy (Frank) Willis of Hamden, CT, Andrew (Lynne) Dorman of Cheshire, CT and Alicia (Keith) Nieforth of Randolph, NJ. Grandmother of Sarah Titzer, Erin Kolasinski, David Ormstedt, Jr., Keri Willis, Stacey Willis, Matthew Willis, Megan Willis, Chad Dorman, Jeffrey Dorman, Christopher Dorman, Abby-Lyn Dorman, Leanne Nieforth and Julia Nieforth. Great-grandmother of Jack Clement Titzer. Sister of Nancy Esposito of Narragansett, RI, Patricia Basden of Flagstaff, AZ and Gail Kelley of Ormond Beach, FL. Phyllis was born in New Haven Nov. 6, 1932, a daughter of the late Fenton P. and Ethel Galligan James. She was retired from the Payroll Department at Quinnipiac University. Her family meant so much to her - she was not only our mother, but our best friend, supporter and confidant. Carmel Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Hamden.
