Obituary

In Loving Memory of Phyllis Giardina

Phyllis who lit up every room with her beauty, warmth, and kindness, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025 at the age of 93.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.

From her early days, Phyllis stood out-not just for being the "prettiest girl "in high school (a title she carried with grace and a little humor) but for the kindness and generosity that made her truly unforgettable. She was a graduate of Larson College (now Quinnipiac University) and worked in the Insurance industry prior to having her 4 children.

Phyllis had a way of making people feel special, whether through a warm smile, a thoughtful word, or one of her legendary home-cooked meals. Cooking was her love language, and her kitchen was always filled with love & laughter.

Above all, her family was her greatest pride, and she poured her heart into creating a home full of love, laughter, and memories that will be cherished forever. She was the kind of mom who always knew the right thing to say, the kind of grandma who always showed unconditional love and the kind of person whose kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is survived by her four children Debbie Pullano (Sal) of Hamden, Vincent Giardina of Hamden, Joe Giardina Jr. of Hamden, Louise Giardina of Fairfield. Her 2 grandchildren Vanessa Bryer (Craig) of Hanover MA, Melinda Pullano of Pompano Beach FL, her 2 great grandchildren Ariana & Emilia Bryer of Hanover, MA & her beloved dog Molly.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years Joseph Giardina, Sr. and her sister Marie Caruso.

While our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that her love, laughter, and all of the happy memories we had with her will always be with us
.
