Meriden- Phyllis M. (Tricarico) Fiderio Crebase, 96 formerly of Park Ave., Meriden passed away on Monday, Sept. 26 at The Curtis Home-St. Elizabeth Center, Meriden. She was born November 3, 1908 in Alta Mura, Bari, Italy a daughter of the late Saverio and Pasqua (Lomurno) Tricarico. In 1912 at the age of four she arrived at Ellis Island. She was the wife of the late George Fiderio her first husband and the late Luke Crebase. She was a lifelong member of the former Grace Baptist Church and very committed to St. Andrew's Epsicopal Church. She had worked for International Silver Co. and New Departure. Phyllis was a former chaplain of the Moose Club of Meriden, a former deaconess at the former Grace Baptist Church for 20 years, a member of the Meriden Women's Club and the City Mission. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Charles and Shirley Fiderio of Middletown, Angie and Ronald Fiderio- Downes of Middlefield and Joan and Harry Bolden of Meriden, nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and lives she touched. She was predeceased by two brothers, Dominic and James Tricarico and two sisters, Nancy Pepe and Rose Kannenberg. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 11:00am at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
