Pierre J. Barera, age 87, formerly of Dallas St., Hamden, passed away July 29, 2009 at Harborside Arden House in Hamden. Pierre was born in New Haven on October 23, 1921, a son of the late Pierre J. & Mary Taberelle Barera. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Arline & her husband Donald Erickson of New Haven and nieces Donna & her husband Bob Olsen and Joann Simanton and nephews Raymond Barera Jr. & Wayde Erickson. Residing most of his life in Hamden, Pierre was employed at the former Ray's Luncheonette and Frances Bakery. Friends may visit with his family at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden on Friday, July 31, from 9 AM to 10 AM. and may attend his Funeral Service at 10 AM in the funeral home.
