Priscilla "Sibby" Barnett, age 78, loving wife of David Barnett, of Cheshire, formerly of Hamden, passed away on October 19, 2017 at CT Hospice, Branford. She was born in New Haven on March 23, 1939 to the late William and Dorothy Stuart Holton. Along with her husband David, she is survived by her children Jeffrey (Angelina) Barnett of Hamden, Scott Barnett of Cheshire, Cindy Esposito (David) of Hamden, and Douglas (Kathy) Barnett of Glastonbury, her sister Nancy Abbate of North Haven, grandchildren Elizabeth, Matthew, Scott, Emily, and Allison Barnett, and Jason Esposito, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Holton. Priscilla worked as store manager for Barnett Books and later on as a Librarian for the Town of Hamden until her retirement. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, all of whom she adored. A service celebrating Priscilla's life will be held on Monday, October 23 at 11am in BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Rev. Douglas House officiating. Interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery. Friends may visit with her family on Sunday October 22 from 4-7pm.
