In Hamden, Nov. 19, 2003, Rachel Berardesca Mongillo, 95, wife of the late Stephen A. Mongillo, Sr., formerly of Whitney Ave., Hamden. She was born in New Haven, June 9, 1908, a daughter of the late Umberto and Natalie Pinto Berardesca. She is survived by a son, Stephen A. Mongillo, Jr. and his wife, Mary Scanlon Mongillo of Hamden, four grandchildren: Mary Ellen Selby of Hinsdale, IL, Stephen A. Mongillo, III of Rye, NY, Anne McRavey of Thousand Oaks, CA and James Mongillo of Hamden, sisters: Frances Fonteyn of New Haven, Nancy Girardi of North Haven, Virginia Zona of Hamden and brothers: Nicholas Berardesca of Hamden. Also survived by eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
